” Where there’s a happy mind, there’s a writer at work. ” Here is a list of exercises for reduced anxiety and stress.
Yoga

Yoga is a physical activity that incorporates meditation and various poses to encourage breathing, relaxation and mindfulness. One of the best things about yoga is that it can be done almost anywhere (the beach, park, living room, backyard etc. ) and you can go at your own pace. Yoga is healthy for the mind and beneficial to the body in several ways:
- Helps lower blood pressure
- Reduces stress
- Reduces insomnia
- Promotes weight loss and energy boost
- Flexibility and posture
- Builds muscle strength
Dancing

I included dancing on this list because it looks so fun in grey’s anatomy.

Well not entirely, though how cool does it seem to dance around in the office at work or wherever you’re feeling anxious or exhausted? Dancing is a great way to increase circulation and blood flow; both are crucial to the brain and body. Dancing not only improves balance and coordination, but also mental health. Think of dancing as exercise for the soul. A 2017 article in CNN listed several reasons why dancing is good for health, some reasons included:
- Improves memory
- Reduced risks of osteoporosis
- Improved psychological well-being
- Greater self-esteem and social skills
- Mental break
And the best of all, dancing requires no workout tools, no machines and weights. Just you and the dance floor.
Meditation

Meditation is the act of focusing the mind or thoughts through calm, natural breaths to train attention and mental clarity. Meditating has several benefits physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Just like dancing and yoga, meditating can be done almost anywhere because all it requires is you. Most beginners are recommended to meditate for 5 to 10 minutes every day. Meditation helps:
- Reduce stress
- Enhances self-awareness and emotional health
- Increases attention
- Decreases blood pressure
- Help to control and reduce anxiety
